Travel Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse | Reidsville, North Carolina
An opportunity is available for an experienced RN with Telemetry expertise to provide high-quality nursing care within a renowned healthcare setting in Reidsville, NC. This travel nursing position offers an engaging role specializing in inpatient care, focusing on stroke (neuro) patient populations and patients with complex co-morbidities.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Provide telemetry patient monitoring and management using EPIC and remote monitoring systems
ā¢ Deliver comprehensive nursing care including IV starts, blood product administration, and wound care including Wound Vac management
ā¢ Manage feeding tubes, central and peripheral lines, PICC lines, and ports
ā¢ Administer care under isolation precautions as required
ā¢ Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6 in a fast-paced inpatient setting
ā¢ Assume floating responsibilities across multiple facilities to support operational needs
ā¢ Adhere strictly to attendance policies with flexibility in scheduling, including working nights, holidays, and every other weekend on a 3x12 hour night shift schedule (7:00 pm ā 7:30 am)
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
ā¢ Minimum 2 years of RN experience in telemetry or related inpatient care
ā¢ Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
ā¢ Experience with telemetry remote monitoring and on-unit telemetry care
ā¢ Skilled in feeding tube care and management
ā¢ Competent in central line, peripheral line, PICC line, and port care
ā¢ BLS and NIH certifications required
ā¢ Ability to pass required EKG competency exam
ā¢ Comfort managing a patient population with neurological (stroke) conditions is highly preferred
