Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OB/GYN Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Postpartum / Mother Baby RN – Days (3x12s) Requirements: Must live at least 50 miles away Schedule: 3x12s – Days Experience: Postpartum / Mother Baby experience required (this is not an L&D position) Certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS – Required License: Current RN license to practice in state/district – Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred BSN: Highly desired Job Summary: The Postpartum / Mother Baby RN provides safe, competent nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. This nurse delivers patient-centered care while providing professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for postpartum patients, newborns, and GYN surgical patients. Monitor and assess mother and infant health following vaginal and C-section deliveries. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. Maintain compliance with all licensure, certification, and facility requirements.
