Description Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in business administration, finance, accounting, travel management, or related field preferred. Formal training in government travel regulations, travel systems, or financial administration preferred. Experience providing travel administration and voucher support in a government, military, or large organizational environment. Knowledge of Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), or agency-specific travel policies. Ability to review travel documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policy. Experience coordinating airfare, lodging, rental car, and itinerary arrangements. Ability to research and resolve travel-related discrepancies, reimbursement issues, and rejected claims. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate travel files and supporting documentation. Proficiency with travel and financial systems such as DTS, Concur, E2, or other agency travel platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills for supporting travelers, supervisors, and approving officials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe/PDF tools. Ability to manage multiple travel actions, prioritize deadlines, and provide timely follow-up. Ability to handle sensitive financial and personnel information with discretion and professionalism. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and process travel authorizations, travel orders, and related supporting documentation. Coordinate official travel arrangements, including airfare, lodging, rental vehicles, and itineraries in accordance with applicable regulations. Review travel requests for accuracy, completeness, funding information, and policy compliance prior to submission. Assist travelers with completing travel documents, required forms, and system entries. Monitor travel status and provide updates regarding approvals, reservations, amendments, and reimbursements. Prepare, review, and process travel vouchers for accuracy and compliance with established travel regulations. Reconcile receipts, expenses, and supporting documentation against approved travel authorizations. Identify, research, and resolve travel voucher discrepancies, rejected claims, and reimbursement issues. Maintain organized travel files, records, logs, and reports in accordance with agency records management requirements. Provide customer service and guidance to employees on travel procedures, allowable expenses, and required documentation. Coordinate with approving officials, budget personnel, and finance offices to ensure proper funding and timely processing. Track travel actions and prepare recurring or ad hoc reports on travel volume, status, and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with agency travel regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements. Support process improvements that enhance travel processing efficiency, accuracy, and customer service. Physical Demands: Ability to work a minimum of full-time hours (40 hours per week). Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle and/or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is required. Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds. Must be able to travel independently and safely Work Environment Travel up to 10% of the time, which may also include public facing forums and company-sponsored events.
