Blended Rate: $920/wk
Shift: 5x8s - 40hrs - Days/Nights rotating
Job Description:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our long-term care facility team in Geneva, NY. As a CNA in our facility, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Assisting residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transferring techniques.
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
Responding promptly to residents' needs and requests, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Assisting with medication management, ensuring residents receive the correct medication at the scheduled time.
Reporting any changes in residents' condition or concerns to the nursing team.
Documenting accurate and detailed records of residents' care and progress.
Following all healthcare regulations, protocols, and facility policies and procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organized environment for residents, including their living spaces and common areas.
Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Participating in staff meetings, training programs, and educational sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New York State.
Proven experience working in a long-term care facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Strong compassionate nature and a genuine desire to provide care and support to individuals in need.
Ability to handle stressful situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients and equipment as required.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and infection control protocols.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of residents' medical information.
Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
