Travel Agent (Experience Preferred - In Store Sales)
About the position
Join our team of professional Travel Agents at AAA, where your passion for travel and knack for sales can help others plan their dream vacations. We are looking for a full-time team member to join our dynamic team in Brandywine, MD, and Laurel, MD. In this role, you will leverage your firsthand travel experiences to sell exciting international and domestic travel packages, including cruises, land packages, air travel, car rentals, and hotel accommodations. Your ability to educate clients on preferred travel products and services will be key to your success. Experience is crucial in this position, particularly in sales and personal travel adventures. If you have a strong background in sales and have explored the world firsthand, we want to hear from you! Graduating from an accredited travel school is a significant advantage. You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals through relationship development with our members and growing your client base through new business referrals. In addition to selling travel packages, you will also be expected to cross-sell relevant products to enhance the travel experience, prepare and process travel documents and invoices efficiently, and comply with current Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) regulations and AAA Club Alliance policies. Responsibilities
• Sell exciting travel packages including cruises, land packages, air travel, car rentals, and hotel accommodations.

• Educate clients on preferred travel products and services using personal travel stories and insights.

• Meet or exceed sales goals through relationship development with members and growing the client base through referrals.

• Cross-sell relevant products to enhance the travel experience, such as the AAA Travel Advantage Visa Credit Card.

• Prepare and process relevant travel documents and invoices in an organized manner.

• Comply with and remain educated on current Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) regulations and AAA Club Alliance policies.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent (graduate of an accredited travel school preferred).

• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience required; travel industry and/or personal travel experience strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Proficient computer skills including multitasking in several websites and programs.

• Knowledge of Geography and current world events.
