Description Civil Design Engineer VS Engineering is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our Northern & Lexington, KY team for a hybrid role focused on infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead design calculations, reports, planning preparation, and roadway modeling for transportation projects. Assist office leadership with proposal development and preliminary project evaluations. Develop relationships with public agencies and other firms to enhance project coordination efforts. Coordinate project tasks and communicate status updates to project managers and supervisors. Support Indianapolis and regional offices on a variety of civil engineering infrastructure projects. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program Engineer in Training ( EIT ) in Kentucky ( required ) or Registered Professional Engineer ( PE ) Experience in transportation project design (KYTC, county, and municipal projects preferred) At least 4 years of experience using MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoads Designer AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency (preferred) Technical proficiency in: Drainage software (StormCAD, CDSS) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Adobe What We’re Looking For: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in civil engineering design Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, agencies, and project teams Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills Summary Our Mission At VS Engineering, our mission is to serve the communities where we live and work, driven by our core values: Client Focused, Trust, Work Hard.
