Developing and overseeing implementation of programs designed to improve cycle time, reduce quality discrepancies, and optimize cost throughout 3M’s global transportation network.
Focusing on customers with identification of improved service programs and speed and reliability across inbound and outbound logistics flows
Implementing improvement programs aimed at optimizing the transportation networks within 3M across all modes of transport.
Providing strategic insights on logistics capabilities and market realities to 3M’s Business Supply Chain stakeholders.
Working collaboratively across 3M supply chain entities to drive resiliency in 3M transportation models.
Assisting 3M logistics leadership in driving strategic initiatives and critical KPIs that require 3rd Party Logistics Support
Providing strong analytical and project management skills to drive complex and cross-functional opportunities
Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Three (3) years of Supply Chain or Logistics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Five + years of experience in a transportation function for a manufacturing company
Experience leading complex and cross functional programs
Experience with SAP ERP Software
Ability to work on multiple cross functional projects with tight timelines
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Work location:
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center St. Paul at least 2 days per week)
