Job Description:

The Transformation Engineer will be joining the team in our Transformation organization to help build solutions that directly impact our operations, decision makers, and business results. Through our investments in new technology, you will be utilizing state of the art tools to build/configure applications with agility that will transform the way we operate.

As Transformation Engineer, you will be part of a team that drives the technical solutions and end-to-end development for the company's most critical business operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders to deploy agile proof-of-concept tools/applications. Once proven, you will work to transition solutions to IT and scale to a production deployment. This position is hybrid located in our World Headquarters Parsippany, NJ office.

What You'll Do:

Scope and build new applications/tools/systems system for business critical operations

Engage with users to iteratively refine solutions, quickly test ideas, and build upon feedback

Learn and assist in maintaining existing systems/tools to ensure continued functionality including troubleshooting and root cause identification

Quickly adapt to new technologies recently deployed within the Avis Budget Group ecosystems

Perks You'll Get:

Experience with progressive and responsive web design

Knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with MySQL databases

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Physics

1+ years of programming experience with languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript and a strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts

1+ years of experience in a customer-facing environment, with proven ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders outside of your immediate team

Experience building applications to efficiently collect, manage, and process large data sets for analytics, ensuring fast performance and user-friendly interfaces

Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with ever-evolving objectives

Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Ability to travel to field locations 5% to 25% of the time

The annual starting salary for this position is between $66,300 -$90,376. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
