Job Details:
Part-time position, 5 days a week, 2-3 hours per day
8th Grade caseload, Life Skills Program
Fully remote, work from the comfort of your own home
Requirements:
Masters Degree in Special Education
SPED state certification (Maine certification preferred)
Compassionate, kind, and patient, with a passion for working with students with diverse needs
Bachelor's Degree in Education
Special Education state certification
Bilingual and monolingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Our remote special education teachers follow the same framework and duties as in-person instructors, utilizing videoconference technology to provide engaging and interactive online learning experiences. We provide training and support to all involved, ensuring that student progress is not interrupted.
Responsibilities:
Identify the individual needs of each child and create a healthy, inspiring, and supportive learning environment
Prepare, execute, and assess student work, using special tools and equipment to stimulate an interesting learning experience
Collaborate with the Class Teacher and Lead Teacher to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience
Update parents on student progress, providing recommendations to promote better learning at home
