Responsibilities
Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. This position is responsible for transcribing pathology dictation of surgical, autopsy, and diagnostic reports and pathology correspondence. Responsible for filing, cross-referencing and retrieving reports upon request.
Qualifications
Reading and numerical competency
Requires at least six months experience in medical transcription
Must be able to type 50 wpm, use computer and phone. General knowledge of medical terminology
