Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, enabling them to accurately transcribe audio recordings into written documents. This role is essential in ensuring that all medical records are precise and up-to-date, contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical office.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be supporting and assisting office staff if needed.
Duties
Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare professionals into clear and accurate written documents.
Ensure the proper use of medical terminology throughout all transcriptions.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any unclear audio or terminology.
Organize and manage transcription files for easy retrieval and reference.
Assist front office staff if needed.
Experience
Proven experience in transcription, preferably within a medical office setting.
Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent listening skills to ensure accurate transcription of audio files.
