Transactions Assistant - Real Estate
DLA Piper is a collaborative and supportive firm seeking a Transactions Assistant - Real Estate to assist paralegals and attorneys. The role involves maintaining and organizing files, preparing documents, and performing various administrative tasks to support strategic initiatives.ResponsibilitiesOrganize documents for attorney reviewResearch public records using internal and public websitesAssist with preparing binders, preparing closing books, making copies, entering data, and maintaining filesPerform database research and data entryObtain documents and other information from governmental agencies or public agenciesObtain information from accounting, timekeeping and attorneys for audit letter responsesAssist paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filingsOther dutiesSkillsDemonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and clients on a regular basisExcellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills necessary to manage volumes of documents, binders, letters, charts, etcMust have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlinesHigh School Diploma or GED1 year demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environmentEffectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third partiesProduce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive mannerProvide timely, accurate, and quality work productSuccessfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as requiredFoster positive work relationshipsComply with all firm policies and practicesEngage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as neededAbility to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environmentOffice experience in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferredBachelor's degreeParalegal certificate preferredBenefitsMedical/dental/vision insurance401(k)Company OverviewDLA Piper is a global law firm with lawyers located in more than 40 countries to helps clients with their legal needs around the world.
