M&T Bank is a financial institution seeking a Title Specialist II for their Getzville, NY location. The role involves processing Title Insurance Commitments/Policies and conducting Post Closing Audits while ensuring adherence to guidelines and effective communication with all parties involved in the Title Commitment process.ResponsibilitiesPreparation and/or revision of the preliminary title report and/or final title policy, including, but not limited to the timely completion of post closing auditsMaintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in the Title Commitment process, from internal customers, Closing Agents/Attorneys and co-workers to ensure a seamless, timely delivery of the preliminary title commitment and/or final title policyEnsures all revisions, updates, correspondence, etc. are maintained dailyWork alongside Title Examiners in the completion of Deposits, Audits, Post Closing follow up, Bankruptcy and Lien Searches, as well as the preparation of the Insured Closing Letter and Underwriter Rate CalculationsImmediately notifies all necessary parties of irregularities relative to the preliminary title report and/or final title policyProvide operational knowledge and support to ensure adherence to all underwriting and regulatory requirements and guidelinesPerform other administrative duties supporting the Agency including but not limited to: aid in the monitoring of phones, door and email, filing, preparing and mailing preliminary title commitments and/or final title policies and any revisions as they relate to both, Q-C-ing of the preliminary title policy, logging and trackingAdhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policiesPromote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brandMaintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicableComplete other related duties as assignedSkillsAssociates Degree or two years equivalent work experienceOne year prior real estate experienceGood PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Email Platform and AdobeAbility to make sound decisions based on information providedKnowledge of Agency, Underwriter and Lender RequirementsVersatility and flexibility working within an ever changing fast paced mortgage environmentAdapting to new policies and procedures to improve processes and workflowAbility to function independently within time constraintsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to multitaskStrong attention to detailPrioritization of daily workloadAbility to work in a team environmentStrong work ethic, reliable and dependableCompany OverviewGreat companies have an enduring sense of purpose.
