A well run, very well connected Title Insurance Agency based in NY, has a need for an experienced Commercial Underwriting Counsel. This position can be run remote. He or she will have significant responsibility within the organization and should be able to operate as a senior executive in interactions with both internal and external constituents. Underwriting counsel
1. 5-10 years of NY, commercial, independent underwriting for an underwriter or large commercial agent
2. Strong commercial reading background;
3. Strong commercial surveys reading experience;
4. Strong NY Practice experience;
5. Strong understanding for development rights transactions in NY;
6. Strong understanding of NYC mortgage tax and NY transfer tax consequences
