TIG Welder ? Direct Hire
Location: Phoenix, AZ (45th & Camelback)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $20HR - $30HR
Work Schedule
? 1st Shift: Monday ? Thursday, 5:00 AM ? 3:30 PM (Optional overtime available).
? 2nd Shift: Monday ? Thursday, 3:15 PM ? 1:45 AM.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for performing high-quality fusion welding on various products according to Manufacturing Operation Traveler (MOT) and blueprint (B/P) specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace or sheet metal welding and a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with all quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
? Verify raw materials prior to welding.
? Inspect detail parts for damage before starting the welding process.
? Perform visual inspections on all finished welds to ensure compliance with MOT and B/P specifications.
? Ensure proper weld rods are used based on color codes.
? Identify and tag non-conforming parts before submitting them for inspection.
Qualifications & Requirements
? Experience: 3?5 years of TIG fusion welding experience.
? Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of welding techniques and measuring equipment necessary to complete each operation.
? Certifications: Must be able to pass the standard welding qualification test (.030 material thickness).
? Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and engineering drawings.
? Physical Requirements:
? Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
? Near vision of 20/20 and far vision of 20/30.
? Ability to distinguish colors (successful completion of Pseudo chromatic plates, Ishihara, Richmond, or similar color vision tests).
? Communication: Must be proficient in English for verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Experience
? Aerospace or sheet metal welding experience is highly desirable.
