Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling, case management, and crisis intervention. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals and families, particularly those dealing with autism spectrum disorders and other mental health challenges. The LCSW will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilizing medical terminology effectively.
Duties
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention services to clients in acute distress or emergency situations.
• Offer mental health counseling and therapeutic support using evidence-based practices.
• Manage cases effectively, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals and community resources.
• Utilize Christian counseling principles when appropriate to support clients' spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Stay informed about current coding practices related to mental health services.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Experience working in a hospital environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding related to mental health services.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and case management.
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting individuals with autism.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in social work practice.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
