If you want to help tell compelling, enduring stories through movies, music, or stage plays, then we want to hear from you.As a UX/UI Design Intern, you’ll contribute to building the next generation of digital experiences for cast members and audiences across The Walt Disney Studios. You’ll partner with experienced UX, UI, and XR designers, working on products and experiences that support our shows & movies. You enjoy solving complex problems and combine an analytical process with stylistic sensibilities. You are passionate about design and have a strong intellectual curiosity, always following the latest advances in technology and entertainment.What You Will DoDesign innovative and visually appealing UX/UI solutions.Collaborate with expert UX/UI/XR designers to develop skills.Manage projects from concept to completion.Use UX foundational principles design experiences.Use brand and visual design guidance to advise UI.Present design concepts to stakeholders for feedback.Troubleshoot design issues and come up with creative solutions.Build and maintain Studio Technology’s design system in partnership with the team.Adhere to the product design process through requirements gathering, group brainstorms, and technical/competitive research.Analyze and apply the emerging design, technological, or cultural trends to app websites.Required Qualifications & SkillsFocus area of study in Graphic Design, UX, HCDEProficiency in FigmaProficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteSolid understanding of design systemsExcellent visual and design skills with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodsChampion for documentation and prioritizationEducationCurrently enrolled or graduated within the past six months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.Additional InformationAm I Eligible?At the time of application, you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.Must possess unrestricted work authorization.Must provide full work availability.Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August/September 2024. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12-week assignment.Please note the safety and well-being of our teams is very important to us. Based on government recommendations, we will determine whether this program will be in-person at our Burbank, CA studio or virtual in the coming months.The pay rate for this role in Burbank, CA, is $35.00 per hour.
