All Jobs > Community Health Intern (Summer 2026) The Health Collaborative Apply Community Health Intern (Summer 2026) Fully Remote • Cincinnati, OH Apply Description Community Health Intern Reports to: Director, Community Health Level/Grade Support Type of Position Part-time Hours/Week 10 hrs./week; non-exempt GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Community Health Intern will assist in activating the Regional Collective Health Agenda. This position’s responsibilities include supporting meetings, strategic planning, coordination and project management, data collection, research, data interpretation, and health communication. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Core responsibilities include program support, data and research, health education, community engagement, and administrative tasks. Such responsibilities are grounded in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) findings and Collective Health Agenda plan. Example projects include: Interviews to collect stories on community health Research on policy to support the advocacy agenda of the Collective Health Agenda Building plans for annual Community Health Improvement week Coordinating convenings for health equity projects Creating asset and stakeholder maps Documenting evidence-based practices (e.g., cardiovascular health, community engagement) Assist in the coordination of community health meetings and gatherings. This includes scheduling, agenda setting, documenting action items, engaging in follow up, and ensuring task completion. Participate in strategic problem solving and project design initiatives related to the Collective Health Agenda priorities, including advocacy strategies. Assist with communicating about the Collective Health Agenda through a variety of platforms including: Social media outlets, Email, Blog posts/newsletters. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Active college student. Specific degree of study not required. Degrees of interest include: health related (health promotion, education, public health, etc.); communication, marketing, design, business, Ability to work during traditional business hours in a variety of settings. Excellent Communication and Time Management skills. Ability to handle and maintain confidential information. Willingness to learn new software applications and quantitative skills, as needed. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Documents. Demonstrated proficiency in developing visuals and presentations, preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in various elements of online program marketing including social media, and short or long form video editing/creation (such as creating engaging Tik Toks, Instagram Reels, etc.), preferred. Must be able to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation: Remain in a stationary position approximately 75% of the time. Frequently spend long hours in front of and/or operating a computer (approximately 75% of the time) Frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/ or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Occasionally transport oneself or arrange own transportation to outside meetings/ events within the tri-state region. OTHER INFORMATION: Depending on student’s availability, internship duration is often based in the semester calendar (summer, fall or spring).
