Texas Family Law Attorney Needed to Review Agreed Temporary Custody Order (Travis County SAPCR)
I am looking for a Texas family law attorney (or very experienced Texas family law paralegal working under attorney supervision) to review a draft Agreed Temporary Order modifying possession in an existing SAPCR case in Travis County, Texas.
Background:
This case already has a Final Order in place (signed February 2025). Due to temporary financial instability, the children’s mother and I have mutually agreed that the children will temporarily reside primarily with me while she stabilizes her situation. We are both in agreement and want to formalize this through a Temporary Order for the court to sign.
What has already been done:
• I have the existing Final Order.
• I drafted a Temporary Order modifying the following:
• temporary primary residence with Father
• modified possession schedule
• holiday schedule integrated with the Final Order
• temporary suspension of Father’s child support obligation
• temporary pause on interest accrual for arrears
• The order incorporates the Final Order so all other provisions remain in effect.
What I need:
I need a Texas family law professional to review the draft Temporary Order and confirm that it is:
• consistent with Texas Family Code
• likely to be accepted by a Travis County district judge
• properly structured for enforceability
• not creating unintended legal conflicts with the Final Order
• using correct language for child support suspension and arrears interest
Deliverables:
• Redlined edits or comments on the draft
• Suggested language corrections if needed
• Any structural improvements you recommend before filing
Scope:
This is strictly a document review / limited scope engagement. I am not seeking full representation.
Documents I will provide:
• Final Order (SAPCR)
• Draft Temporary Order
Ideal candidate:
• Texas family law attorney OR
• experienced Texas family law paralegal familiar with SAPCR orders and Travis County practice
Estimated time: 30–60 minutes for someone experienced with Texas custody orders.
Goal:
Ensure the order is clean, enforceable, and likely to be signed by the court without revision.
Thank you!
