Testing Mom - Executive Function Coach

Job Description The Executive Function Coach coaches our clients ages 8-18 to play to their strengths and overcome their executive function challenges. Coaches work with clients using a curriculum that will be provided as well as responding to issues that are coming up in the lives of their clients. Training, materials and resources will be provided however, having an underlying understanding of and experience with ADHD and/or executive function challenges is required. The ideal candidate can empathize with our clients, teach them strategies for improvement and always be able to see the best version of our clients. Main Functions, Duties & Responsibilities • Work with clients to assess their strengths and weaknesses, develop personalized intervention plans, and implement targeted strategies to improve executive functions. • Helping clients ages from 8 to 18 to engage in daily activities, occupations, and roles that are meaningful and important to them. • To work with the clients to set specific goals which require new behaviors and strategies to become established habits. • Help to identify the executive functioning challenges unique to the individual and aim for each client to have the tools to be able to independently function better without the ongoing assistance of the coach. • Knows how to set an agenda for the session, identifying the difficulty you would like to focus on and discussing what you would like to get out of your time together. • Fostering a culture of growth, learning, and ambition, guiding students to discover their strengths and interests. • To have a regular Parent/Coach consultation to provide updates and progress. • Contributing to the continuous innovation and improvement of TestingMom EF Program, sharing insights and ideas. Essential Requirements (education and experience) • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required • Previous teaching or coaching experience with children with ADHD or executive function challenges required. • Having a coaching qualification is strongly preferred. • Studied Psychology or Education preferred.
