Job Summary As a Test Development Contractor Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing the activities of Associate Test Developers, maximizing work effort, and delivering products on time. You will work closely with the Test Development Trainer to ensure that associates receive comprehensive training and with Test Development Managers to assign tasks based on skill level and training received. Your responsibilities will include performing quality control checks, guiding associates in correcting errors, and communicating issues or incidents to management. Key Responsibilities Train, oversee, and assign tasks to Associate Test Developers, ensuring they receive necessary training and support. Collaborate with the Test Development Trainer to develop and maintain training schedules for Associate Test Developers. Develop and maintain checklists and procedure documents to ensure efficient workflow. Understand the test development process, including steps, modifications, and best practices. Supervise 6+ contract test developers, managing day-to-day activities and providing project oversight. Coordinate with resource and project management teams to develop production schedules and workflow. Ensure appropriate staffing by managing the hiring process and conducting performance management of team members. Perform quality control checks on products and guide associates in correcting errors. Communicate issues or incidents to Test Development Managers or Director. Collaborate with an external hiring firm to identify and interview candidates for Associate Test Developer positions. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Two years of editing experience, with a strong understanding of editing and proofreading principles. Two years of management experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and projects. 12-18 months of experience as a Test Developer, with a deep understanding of the test development process. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including expertise in maintenance of internal databases. Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Familiarity with interconnectedness of testing platforms (creation, delivery, staging, etc.) and backend processes. Knowledge of the responsibilities of various departments within Ascend Learning. Understanding of basic HTML coding and its application in test development. Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues using available resources. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively provide instruction and oversight. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
