Test Automation Engineer (SDET)
Job Overview:
This role supports the development and execution of test automation for enterprise applications in an agile environment. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, SQL queries, and frameworks for mobile, desktop, and web platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ā Collaborate with feature teams to assess business and system impacts and ensure robust testing strategies.
Ā Develop and enhance test automation frameworks using Selenium-Java or company-approved tools.
Ā Create and maintain test cases, both automated and manual, based on user story acceptance criteria.
Ā Design, execute, and optimize API and integration tests for REST/SOAP services.
Ā Develop SQL queries to validate data integrity and analyze database impacts of application changes.
Ā Participate in agile design sessions, ensuring a "test-first" approach to development.
Ā Provide input on product testability and contribute to building a high-quality product.
Required Qualifications:
Ā Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Ā 5+ years of experience in application testing and test automation.
Ā 3+ years of Java and J2EE development experience with strong API knowledge.
Ā Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or SAFe preferred).
Ā Proficiency in test management tools and test strategies.
Ā Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Ā Experience with batch job testing/modification.
Ā Knowledge of driving thoroughness into acceptance criteria.
Ā Familiarity with extracting clarifications and effectively communicating with teams.
