You will play a crucial role in driving Pumpkin's growth by engaging veterinary clinics through an Omni-channel approach, developing and growing the account base of your territory. Utilizing solution selling, territory management, and business development capabilities, you’ll execute strategies to maximize territory sales performance. In order to exceed sales goals, you will employ an entrepreneurial mindset, strong persuasive skills, and an ability to influence clients effectively.This will be a hybrid position, with a requirement of 2-3 days a week in the Columbus, Ohio office. What You'll Do Assume ownership of a portfolio of approximately 250-300 accounts, managing and nurturing these relationships to drive quote, policy and revenue growthLeverage a suite of communication tools, including video conferencing, screen sharing, and a strong phone presence, to facilitate engaging interactions with territory accountsDevelop and implement creative account nurture programs, deepening relationships and uncovering new opportunities to meet/exceed quarterly sales goalsCreate strategic Territory Business Plans that identify high-potential growth opportunities, set measurable goals and targets, and outline specific actions and resource allocationsProactively manage the sales cycle, setting clear next steps, milestones, and deadlines to maintain momentum and drive accounts to successful closureMap the key stakeholder landscape within each assigned account, identifying decision-makers, influencers, and champions to cultivate multi-level partnerships What We're Looking For 2+ years of inside sales experience, ideally in a B2B or B2B2C environmentPrevious experience engaging with prospects at all levels of the sales funnel through virtual sales callsPossess a strong phone presence, utilizing active listening skills and a consultative approach to have meaningful conversationsAdaptable and comfortable navigating change, with the ability to thrive in less established or formalized environmentsDemonstrated proficiency in closing skills, with a strong focus on securing the next meeting, action, or commitment from clientsExperience with digital and social selling tactics to continuously engage clients and build brand awareness in the marketResilience and persistence in the face of challenges, with a positive, optimistic attitudeAbility to pass/obtain a Property & Casualty License within 30 daysWilling to travel for occasional trade shows, conferences or territory visitsBachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Bonus Points Experience working in a startup environmentExperience/Familiarity with animal health/hospital salesExperience with Salesforce CRMActive P&C license Additional Information The compensation for this position includes a base salary ranging from $40,000-$50,000 (annually) plus variable incentive compensation, structured as a 50% annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary outside the listed ranges based on factors including location, qualifications, performance, skills, and experience. This compensation structure is one component of Pumpkin's total rewards package, which may include additional discretionary bonuses and other short or long-term incentives.
