Department Teacher EducationMinimum Requirements
Experience in K-12 education administration or higher education support roles
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Excellent attention to detail, particularly for registration processes
Effective communication skills for coordinating with schools and students
Proficiency with standard office software and database management
Bachelor's degree or higher
Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with the College of Charleston's education programs
Knowledge of the South Carolina Teacher Cadet Program and the Teaching Fellows Program
Experience in student program coordination
Established relationships with local school districts and schools
Additional Comments Regarding PositionThe Teacher Cadet Coordinator & Teaching Fellows Support Assistant will provide administrative support primarily for the Teacher Cadet program and Teaching Fellows initiatives at the College of Charleston. This part-time position will focus on maintaining registration systems, coordinating recruitment efforts, and providing general administrative assistance to these key programs.This position is ideal for an individual with educational program experience seeking part-time work with flexible hours. The role provides critical administrative support to ensure the success of the Teacher Cadet program and Teaching Fellows initiative at the College of Charleston.This position may be eligible for part-time remote work.*The candidate filling this position will not be eligible for healthcare benefits.Special Instructions to ApplicantsPlease complete the application to include all current and previous work history and education.
