TEMPORARY Ordering Specialist

Job Summary Summary of Position: This is a TEMPORARY position. You will be given a contract through October 2026 to start. There is a possibility of it becoming a permanent position, but no guarantee. In this position, you will move between the ordering team and the AP team. Specialist must live local to the Bakersfield, CA office. This is a remote, work-from-home office, set-schedule position. Hours are 8am to 4:30PM. Under the direction of the Purchasing Coordinator and the Classified Administrator, the Ordering Specialist (“Specialist”) will be required to support Heartland Charter School’s Ordering Department. As an employee of Heartland Charter School, the Specialist will follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Heartland Handbook. Please see below for further details about the position and needed qualifications. The Specialist will support parents and staff with a variety of tasks related to the ordering system. This role will be responsible for communicating with their Coordinator and their team, family liaisons, parents, and vendors. The Specialist will work in the ordering system to place orders for families as assigned by the Purchasing Coordinator. They will need to work to ensure that orders do not exceed a two week turnaround time. There will be order minimums that will need to be met every day. The Ordering Specialist is expected to work full time, according to the classified calendar (A-Basis) and may need to work additional days beyond the work calendar. Pay subject to board approval.
