A boutique public accounting firm based in Southern California is seeking a detail-oriented Temp Accountant to support a multi-entity reconciliation and financial cleanup project. This role is critical in helping real estate investment clients bring their financial records current by performing hands-on bookkeeping, reconciliation, and general ledger organization. Ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in flexible, small-team environments and enjoys problem-solving and diving deep into cleanup work. Candidates must be available for onsite training in Orange County at the start of the engagement. This short-term project offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully in a supportive, CFO-led firm.

Salary Range: $30 - $35 / hour DOE

Temp Accountant Responsibilities:
• Conduct reconciliation and cleanup across multiple years and real estate entities
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, capital, and balance sheet accounts
• Clean and organize the general ledger, correcting discrepancies
• Prepare accurate and reconcilable financial statements for review
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve outstanding accounting issues
• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office to maintain financial data integrity
• Maintain strong organization while managing multiple reconciliation tasks

Temp Accountant Requirements:
• 4+ years of accounting experience required
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office
• Strong background in account reconciliation and GL management
• Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
• Experience in real estate or multi-entity accounting preferred
• Public accounting background a plus
