The individual will view multiple patients’ electrocardiographic displays to monitor noninvasive cardiac activity of patients and notify appropriate healthcare personnel on variances in the electrocardiographic pattern. These monitoring requirements will apply to Marshfield Medical Center patients at remote facilities across the system. The Telemetry Technician is responsible for collaboration with clinical staff in order to establish appropriate communication with each site. The Telemetry Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting routine technical concerns with equipment and notifying biomedical equipment individuals for non-basic repairs./pp/ppbJOB QUALIFICATIONS/b/pp/ppbEDUCATION/b/ppiFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation./i/ppbMinimum Required: /bSuccessful completion of the Electrocardiogram (ECG) course within three months of hire or a score of 85% or greater on the ECG challenge exam./pp/ppbPreferred/Optional: /bCompletion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or First Responder courses./pp/ppbEXPERIENCE /b/ppbMinimum Required: /bNone/pp/ppbPreferred/Optional: /bOne year experience as a Telemetry/Monitor Technician.
