Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A telemetry registered nurse (RN) position is available on a contract basis in the Kansas City metropolitan area. This role focuses on providing specialized cardiac and other critical patient care on telemetry units and involves adherence to facility protocols in a nicotine-free environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver skilled nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Utilize electronic medical records systems, with training provided for Altera Sunrise (similar to Cerner)
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing demands
• Work every other weekend and observe holiday coverage unless time off is requested
• Attend a comprehensive orientation including two days at a tertiary care hospital and additional unit-specific clinical orientation

Qualifications and Experience:
• Current RN licensure
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in telemetry nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Experience with EMR systems advantageous, but training is provided
• New graduates are not eligible for this role due to required experience level

Schedule:
• 8-hour shifts with bi-weekly pay
• Orientation includes no-bill shifts over initial 5 days
