We have an opening for a Part Time Remote Telemedicine Optometrist for Wednesdays Only. This opportunity is perfect if you're looking for a flexible schedule while working elsewhere part-time. Recent graduates and experienced optometrists are encouraged to apply! About the Practice: Located in what is dubbed the city of festivals, our practice sits in one of the favorite destinations for foodies and music lovers in California. It’s known for its tourist attractions, making it a compelling place to relocate to, in one of the fastest-growing cities southeast of Los Angeles. We’re proud to serve as a trusted resource for comprehensive eye exams and vision testing. Our team is committed to values based on trust, honesty, and excellence, creating an environment of commitment and compassion for all. We have a patient-first model of care that underlies all our systems and processes, delivering exceptional standards of eye healthcare. We serve an underprivileged Hispanic community in a rural area with limited access to healthcare. Our telemedicine modality is employed to increase access to care for this vulnerable population in light of a shortage of doctors willing to move to our location. In-person full-time employment opportunities for ODs are also available. Our offices are modern, using state-of-the-art equipment such as Optos, OCT, ERG/VEP, VF, B scan, and more to diagnose diseases. We treat a variety of pathological conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. About the Position: Our new Telemedicine Optometrists will be a welcome addition to our team and family. You will be expected to: • Perform remote refractions from the comfort of your home • Remotely monitor patients • Perform video consultations • Evaluate anterior and posterior segment images and videos -Refer to one of our in-house doctors for any abnormalities that need in-person evaluation -See 16-24 patients/day • The OD must have a CA license and be Glaucoma certified. • Spanish speaking is preferred. This position is specifically for Wednesdays, providing a consistent yet flexible work option. Salary $500 - $500 per day Apply tot his job
