Telehealth Medical Doctor
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Telehealth Medical Doctor to join our innovative healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality medical care through virtual platforms, ensuring accessible, efficient, and compassionate treatment for a diverse patient population. Your expertise will help bridge gaps in healthcare access, providing timely assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans from a remote setting. Duties
• Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments using secure telehealth platforms, including evaluating symptoms and medical histories.
• Develop personalized care plans, prescribe medications, and recommend follow-up treatments aligned with best practices and clinical guidelines.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with specialists across various fields including psychiatry, cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, and others to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Manage urgent cases such as acute pain management, respiratory issues, or mental health crises through triage and immediate intervention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality during all telehealth interactions.
• Stay current with medical research, clinical trials, and emerging telehealth technologies to continuously enhance service quality.
Requirements
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in clinical practice with familiarity in outpatient settings; hospital or inpatient experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or other digital health platforms.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage patients remotely and provide clear guidance on treatment plans.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in specific areas such as psychiatry, dermatology, or cardiology are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced telehealth environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Familiarity with medical coding (CPT/ICD coding), documentation standards, and compliance regulations like HIPAA.
