Adolescent IOP Psychologist

Compensation: negotiable

Location: telehealth (must be PSYPACT credentialed)

Hours: Mon-Thur. 20 hours/week.

Position Summary:

As an Adolescent IOP Psychologist, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, including psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions, to individuals within an acute care setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health and ensuring care aligns with ethical and legal standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
β€’ Community based - Provide direct counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches.
β€’ Develop personalized care plans addressing psychological and emotional challenges.
β€’ Deliver brief psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and personal counseling using individual, conjoint, and group treatment modalities.
β€’ Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare team members to integrate behavioral health services into patient care.
β€’ Act as a resource for medical staff, ensuring alignment with evidence-based behavioral health practices.
β€’ Coordinate patient discharge plans and referrals to community-based resources and social services.
β€’ Conduct psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments to determine the nature and extent of mental disorders.
β€’ Administer and interpret validated behavioral health screening tools.
β€’ Document screening outcomes and provide feedback to patients and the care team.
β€’ Act as a patient advocate to ensure timely access to appropriate behavioral health services.
β€’ Educate patients and families about behavioral health conditions, coping strategies, treatment plans, and available resources.
β€’ Provide case management services to ensure continuity of care, including referrals to specialized services.
β€’ Monitor and document patient progress, modifying care plans as needed.
β€’ Log all client encounters and activity in the electronic health record (EHR).
β€’ Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral health programs to meet patient and community needs.
β€’ Monitor program outcomes and recommend improvements.
β€’ Adhere to state licensing requirements, organizational policies, and HIPAA regulations.
β€’ Maintain confidentiality of clinical and sensitive administrative information.
β€’ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate patient records.
β€’ Provide training to healthcare staff on behavioral health topics, tools, and best practices.
β€’ Serve as a resource for patients, families, and providers regarding behavioral health care.

Qualifications:
β€’ Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited university (required).
β€’ PSYPACT credentialed (required).
β€’ Experience with adolescents or child psychology (preferred).
β€’ Knowledge of behavioral health screening tools and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
β€’ Excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling.
β€’ Strong telehealth proficiency and ability to adapt to new technologies.
β€’ Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
β€’ Maintain clinical competency and compliance with all applicable regulations.
