Tele-Optometrist /Remote Night Shift/ India/
About the Role: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tele-Optometrist to support U.S.-based brick-and-mortar clinics through secure telehealth platforms. The ideal candidate will perform accurate refractions, guide patients through vision assessments, and document all findings in EMR systems while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient care. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive refractions using digital or manual foropters. • Connect remotely to U.S. clinics via secure telehealth systems. • Guide patients through vision tests and record results accurately in EMR platforms. • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and clinic staff. • Troubleshoot basic technical issues to ensure smooth clinic operations. • Maintain patient privacy, data accuracy, and excellent bedside manner at all times. Preferred Attributes: • Tech-savvy and comfortable with telehealth tools. • Patient-focused with a calm and empathetic communication style. • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a virtual work environment. Qualifications: • Doctor of Optometry (OD) or equivalent degree recognized in India. • Minimum 2 years of hands-on clinical optometry or refraction experience. • Experience using digital or automated foropters preferred. • Strong English fluency — both spoken and written. • Excellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detail. • Ability to work night shifts aligned with U.S. time zones. • Willingness to complete HIPAA and telehealth compliance training.
