Looking to join a team in technology that is dynamic, fast paced and forward looking. Establish a new foundation on the Business & Vendor Management team in the Technology organization as a Vendor Manager supporting Cloud & IT Services. You will perform a key role for our Vendor Management team by working closely with industry-leading Cloud & Professional Service providers to drive governance, key insights and overall relationship management.

You will identify, define, and report on the contractual elements of our agreements as well as supporting all procurement activities related to contract negotiations. You will gain good visibility in this role as you partner with internal stakeholders to build on their long-term objectives such as forecasted usage, spend optimization, and planned migrations. With the rapid growth of cloud computing, this is a newly established role, reporting to the Director of Vendor Management - IT Labor & Cloud and can be based in Phoenix, AZ or New York.

This team is part of a larger Business & Vendor Management organization that is responsible for the ongoing governance and oversight of its strategic third-party relationships. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in in cloud computing as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. This role will be an individual contributor and the primary liaison between our vendor partners and product delivery teams.

Responsibilities: Gain in-depth product knowledge of the company's existing cloud services to provide key insights for senior leadership on usage trends, forecasts and product changes to support contract discussions and negotiations. Drive regular meeting cadence for usage demand forecasting with key stakeholders. Support ongoing relationship management of key providers in the program, including taking on responsibility for the company's risk oversight requirements.

Lead Quarterly Business reviews with our large providers and support ongoing relationship updates and executive briefing presentations to senior leaders. Provide your expertise and engage with external research companies to understand trends in the industry and create a point of view on competitive pricing and emerging opportunities/risks. Interpret contractual language to support stakeholder requests and issue/dispute resolution.

Responsible for providing initial drafts of contractual terms & conditions, in accordance with AXP's global supplier management standards. Develop a framework to assess capability/strengths of existing and potential vendor partners to support sourcing decisions. Contract management and vendor selection to design and execute strategic partnership deals and co-investment opportunities in support of American Express business unit goals.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years' experience with Cloud Services. 2.

Proven track record of delivery across Cloud / Iaas related projects. 3. Experience within contract management in the sourcing/procurement field either as a customer or supplier.

4. Proven experience building strong relationships and connecting with senior leaders. Preferred Qualifications 1.

Program management experience to build strategic roadmaps, executive-level reporting. 2. Ability to thrive in a hybrid office (3x a week) work setting.

Ability to be assertive and challenge the status quo, while still maintaining strong and effective partnerships Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition
