PACER Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of children and young adults with disabilities through parent training and advocacy, assistive technology, and social inclusion programs. Established in 1977, PACER employs approximately 50 staff and helps thousands of families annually access services for their children by providing individualized support, training, and information services, as well as extensive online resources. Role Summary: This position is a good fit for a technology generalist who is comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities including managing systems, providing 1:1 support and staff development, and overseeing hardware and software inventory management. The Technology Coordinator maintains and updates the organization’s hardware, software, and telecommunications systems; implements security and backup procedures; and supports all staff through technology onboarding, support, and training. Job duties will be adjusted based on background and skills of the individual hired and may also include additional ways to contribute to PACER’s mission through tasks such as video production and online trainings. The technology coordinator will partner with the office manager, website administrator, marketing and communications team, and others to execute their work. Responsibilities and roles • Serve as administrator for PACER’s Office 365 account, including creating new users, onboarding, offboarding, and modifying accounts; enrolling users in multifactor authentication; and managing access to file sharing resources • Implement system security and backups • Coordinate purchasing and ongoing inventory of hardware and software • Manage internet and phone contracts and services • Work with office manager on copier/printer services • Manage and troubleshoot building security and A/V systems • Perform staff onboarding and offboarding within technology systems • Provide troubleshooting and help desk support to staff with a wide range of technology skills and aptitude • Provide training and resources for staff on how to use available technology tools, such as written or video guides and live trainings • Stay current with evolving IT trends and technologies • Be on call to assist with any system outages or security incidents that may occur • Other duties as assigned Required qualifications • Three years’ experience in similar role • Experience in maintaining, fixing, and upgrading desktop and laptop computers (PC and Mac) • Experience in managing networking infrastructure and Office 365 organization accounts • Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate information with technical accuracy and in plain language • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Self-starter with ability to work as part of a team • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite Preferred qualifications • Proficiency in video editing • Experience providing strategic direction for IT-related initiatives within an organization Physical requirements • Prolonged periods working on a computer • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs., crouch and crawl on floor to connect technology, and occasionally climb on ladder Additional information • Parents of children and young adults with disabilities, as well as individuals with disabilities, are encouraged to apply • PACER staff are currently working in a hybrid model (remote and in-office) • Salary will be based on experience and qualifications To apply, send resume and cover letter via • Email: [email protected], or • Mail: Recruitment Director | PACER Center | 8161 Normandale Blvd | Minneapolis, MN 55437 Applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or status with regard to public assistance.
