Techno-Functional SAP Consultant (MM / SCM / ABAP)

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional SAP Consultant who combines deep technical expertise in SAP ABAP development with a strong understanding of SAP MM (Materials Management) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) business processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop robust reports and enhancements — end-to-end, with minimal reliance on separate functional consultants. Key Responsibilities • Engage directly with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements for SAP MM and SCM modules. • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for reports, enhancements, and integrations. • Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP reports, SmartForms, ALV reports, and custom developments. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing custom programs and interfaces. • Provide techno-functional support for SAP MM and SCM business processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and planning. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high performance across SAP modules. • Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality and alignment with business objectives. • Maintain documentation, technical specifications, and user guides for all custom developments. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including classical and interactive reports, SmartForms/SAPScript, user exits, BADIs, and enhancements. • Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM (procurement, inventory, material master, goods receipt) and SAP SCM (logistics, planning, order fulfillment). • Proven ability to independently gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Solid understanding of SAP data structures, tables, and integration points between MM, SCM, and related modules. • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and debugging ABAP programs. • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while maintaining excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in S/4HANA environments or migration projects. • Familiarity with OData, SAP Fiori, or SAP CDS Views. • Experience with interface development (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, etc.). • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
