Technical Writer/Editor - Department of Transportation
cFocus Software seeks a Technical Writer/Editor to join our program supporting the Department of Transportation (DOT). This position is remote in Washington, DC. This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, English/Communications, or a related field • 2+ years of IT Technical Writing experience • Experience writing, editing, publishing reports and technical documents. • Strong experience with computer-based systemsDuties: • Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information required for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, reports, etc.• Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents. • Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology. • Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel in domestic or international settings.
