For more information, please visit Position Overview: We are seeking a Sales Engineer / Technical Specialist with experience in optical transport technology and architecture. This position will promote customer understanding and adoption of current OpenROADM hardware and software solutions, as well as drive regional growth of emerging transport technologies. This role is part of the 1Finity Global Sales team, responsible for developing new business within a North American Tier 1 Carrier’s Access, Metro, and Long-Distance networks. 1Finity is a recognized leader in this space. The ideal candidate will have Optical Product Support or Sales Engineer experience, with strong technical understanding of WDM and ROADM transport networks. As part of the Technical Specialist team you will collaborate across functional departments including Product Management, R&D/Engineering, and Sales/Marketing. Occasional travel (up to 25%) is normal (For example: visits to USA customer locations and/or 1Finity labs in Richardson, TX) Example Responsibilities: Be a subject matter expert on field deployment scenarios including rack and cabinet variants. Example: field trial support for new product/platform introductions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, including sales proposals explaining solutions and services. Shape the requirements and timing of technology and architecture decisions within the Tier 1 carrier’s network to align with 1Finity solutions. Drive internal processes and solutions, to improve technical and/or economic results. Stay updated on the latest advancements in science and technology, including AI, networking, cloud computing, surveillance, virtualization, electronics circuits, and defense industry developments. Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field Carrier technical sales or product support experience with OpenROADM solutions, with a focus on network design, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting (5+ years experience) Ability to comprehend system-level concepts and apply them to practical scenarios Familiarity with a wide range of science and technology domains, including automation and software tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory. Past experience with JSON metadata and data-interchange is a bonus. Historical working knowledge of Telcordia standards and processes is beneficial. Ability to navigate high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure, effectively manage conflicts, and maintain a constructive dialogue with customers. As we are looking for a remote position, the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Fujitsu aligns salaries to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $109,830 to $156,900 USD. Additionally, this role will be eligible for a sales incentive.
