Field-based role reporting to the Technical Services Lead, Livestock.What You Will DoResponsibilities include, however not limited to:Provide technical comparisons vs competitors and highlight product benefitsDeliver timely technical support and on-the-job training to the sales teamIdentify and close knowledge gaps within the sales teamWork with Territory Managers to identify market needs and develop local strategiesAdvise farmers, resellers and veterinarians on correct product useRespond to technical enquiries and source required informationProduce technical writing including trial reports, articles and bulletinsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of products, veterinary medicine and farming practiceMonitor competitor technical developments and advise Technical Manager of impactsLead investigation and resolution of adverse events and manage PV casework per policyAccompany sales on customer visits and provide product, disease and systems training to sales, marketing and customer service teamsDesign and run marketing trials, analyse data and coordinate publication with R&DSupport R&D projects with field assistance, technical evaluations and regulatory inputLiaise with veterinarians, research groups, MPI contacts, distributors and end usersProvide technical input on complaints and adverse reactionsMaintain and develop technical manuals and training materialsRepresent the business in industry technical forums and educational presentationsEnsure compliance with all relevant Acts, policies and proceduresWhat You Must haveBachelor of Veterinary Science essentialExtensive proven prior experience in the livestock veterinary industry essential, preferably in New ZealandExperience in the Animal Health industry preferredIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skillsSelf-starter who works well with minimal supervisionAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesRole will require approximately 60% travel.What You Can ExpectField autonomy to lead technical initiatives with direct impact across NZHands-on R&D exposure and real-world trials to accelerate your technical expertiseStrategic influence working with sales, R&D and regulators to shape product successCareer mobility into specialist, leadership or cross-functional roles through visible resultsCollaborative network of vets, farmers and industry leaders driving practical outcomesWe are proud to be a company that embraces the value of bringing talented and committed people together.
