You’ll drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from idea through launch and beyond, working at the intersection of engineering, people products, and AI. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our tools evolve to meet the needs of a fast-growing company, and that our partners remain aligned, engaged, and confident in our work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-context environments and wants to apply cutting-edge technology to systems that directly impact how the company operates and grows.In this role, you will:Drive execution across multiple engineering initiatives that support recruiting, HR, culture, and company-wide knowledge sharingCreate program plans with clear milestones, owners, and risks, then keep them updated, communicated, and on trackFacilitate alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring decisions are made and followed throughManage dependencies across teams and systems, identifying blockers early and unblocking them quicklyWrite clear, actionable documentation, including program briefs, status updates, and decision recordsDefine and track success metrics for launches, including usage, reliability, and operational impactSupport early product development by helping scope MVPs, prioritize feature sets, and plan rollout strategiesPartner with engineering and leadership to continuously improve team execution and operating cadenceYou might thrive in this role if you:Have 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar role leading complex, cross-functional programsAre highly organized and excel at turning ambiguity into clear plans, timelines, and decisionsCommunicate clearly and crisply—whether you're writing a project brief, an executive update, or a Slack messageHave strong product instincts and can collaborate effectively with engineers and non-technical partners alikeUnderstand how to manage scope and risk without slowing down executionAre energized by fast-moving environments and know how to bring structure without creating bureaucracyAre curious about how organizations work and excited to improve the systems that support people at scaleHave experience with operationally intensive SaaS products and enjoy working on tools that make other people better at their jobsAbout OpenAIOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
