As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of Google's cloud networking and construction infrastructure initiatives. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners across the company. The Network Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the evaluation, design, cost, and production of Google's presence in colocation centers worldwide. As a Technical Program Manager, you will assist in evaluating, planning, designing, costing, and building new and stronger areas in Google's commercial colocation centers. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's ability to deliver innovative products and services that transform the lives of people around the world. Key Responsibilities Understand Building/Facility Design, Construction, and Contractor Management, as well as space and power management for colocation environments. Understand Google's Network Architecture Standards while communicating with partners and internal business owners to gather drivers and timelines for delivering colocation areas and related infrastructure. Be responsible for drafting SOW Design and Engineering Drawing Sets to design areas that meet current needs while maintaining flexibility for the future. Review proposals, costs, and submittals associated with the construction of colocation areas while maintaining technical relationships with colocation providers and contractors. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. At least 5 years of experience in software or project management. At least 5 years of experience in production infrastructure software management. Preferred qualifications include: At least 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. At least 5 years of experience in the production of data centers or OSP fiber plants.
