They work on product builds from start to finish, solving lots of challenges to help us build fast and scale up! Our engineers cover a range of skills across frontend, backend, fullstack, iOS and android and work alongside designers, data scientists, researchers and product managers within our product teams.Our product teams include: the Growth team, the Efficiency team, and the Claims team (to name a few!) Each team sets its own roadmap and actively pushes our codebase forward.The Mobile Team you'd be joiningOur Mobile Team's mission is to build the best app in the business. That means creating a truly customer-first experience that makes the difficult (but essential) things easy, quick and intuitive.You’ll work directly with our users to get a full picture of our customers and the problems we can solve for them. And you’ll do that as part of a cross-functional team, working alongside product teams across tribes to build a platform that’s essential to delivering an inclusive, easy-to-use, and empathetic Marshmallow experience.What you'll be doingLead engineers in a product team enabling a smooth app experience for tens of thousands of policies, ensuring that we provide customers with affordable, instant, and inclusive insuranceManage and execute ambiguous technical solutions with appropriate sense of urgency to deliver impact to the businessCreate and promote efficiency and speed within the team by improving existing solutions and developing new onesPartner with stakeholders to understand requirements, constructively challenge assumptions, suggest alternatives, and deliver functionality iteratively.Mentor engineers from Junior to Senior levels of experience, supporting their development through feedback and sharing opportunitiesWork closely with the EM to champion and roadmap technical debt investmentEnsure alignment between iOS and Android platforms by overseeing project delivery, identifying cross-platform blockers early, and facilitating consistent implementation across both platforms.What we're looking for from you8+ years of experience in iOS development2+ years of experience as a Technical LeadStrong expertise in Swift, with hands-on experience in app development using either UIKit or SwiftUI, with a preference for SwiftUISkilled in working closely with various stakeholders including Product, Design, and fellow engineers to align objectives and drive successful outcomes.Strong experience with leading, developing and delivering complex projectsWorked in a high growth start-up environment or product focused environment.Experience mentoring and guiding more engineers with a range of experienceOur Tech StackSwiftUI for new features (approx. 90% of the app)Modular architecture using local Swift packagesAutomated testing: unit tests, snapshot tests, and UI testsBitrise for continuous integrationFastlane for TestFlight and App Store deploymentsSwiftLint, SwiftFormat, and Danger for automated code styling and checksWe use Tuist to help us manage our modular architecture and speed up our builds.Perks of the jobHybrid working - Spend 3 days with your team in our collaborative London office.
