Technical Lead (f/m/x) Credit Cards (Wien, AT, 1190)

Remote Full-time
You will act as the "Technical Governor" for the Credit Cards Tribe, securing a federated landscape of 7 strategic vendors, internal RBI Tribes and internal Software assets. Instead of writing feature code, you will enforce engineering rigor, defining the "Quality Gates" that external partners must pass. Your mission is to bridge the gap between high-level Solution Architecture and actual Vendor delivery, ensuring our systems are secure, compliant (BCBS 239, DORA), and technically stable.

Your mission:

Enforce Technical Contracts: Define and police strict interface specifications (API & File) between our core systems to prevent integration breaks.
Implement Quality Gates: Design automated "Smoke Tests" and code quality checks that vendor deliveries must pass before entering our User Acceptance Testing.
Contain Legacy Risks: Architect the technical security wrapper (Network Segmentation/API Gateway) for the legacy Client Onboarding landscape to ensure safe operations during migration.
Automate Data Reconciliation: Implement technical checks to verify data integrity (e.g., file row counts) for critical data flows
Govern CI/CD Standards: Define the deployment pipeline standards that all internal and external teams must adhere to for fast and secure releases.
Lead Root Cause Analysis: Take command during complex cross-vendor outages to identify the technical root cause and enforce permanent fixes.
Assure Regulatory Compliance: Build the technical observability required for BCBS 239 (Data Lineage) and DORA (Resilience) directly into the infrastructure.
Secure API Strategy: Enforce an "API-First" design pattern for new components to ensure future readiness for Agentic AI integration.
Validate Target Architecture: Act as the "Engineering Check" for the Solution Architect, prototyping critical decisions to ensure they are feasible before implementation.

Core Competencies:

Senior Engineering Experience: Deep understanding of Software Engineering, with proven experience in a Lead, Integration, or DevSecOps role.
Vendor Governance Skills: Proven ability to manage external development teams and hold vendors accountable for code quality and security.
Integration Mastery: Deep technical knowledge of API Gateways (Rest/Soap), File Transfer (SFTP/MFT), and Identity Management (OIDC).
Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS core services (ECS, RDS, IAM) and Linux environments.
Security Mindset: Practical experience with security scanning tools, vulnerability management, and "Least Privilege" access principles.
Data Fluency: Ability to understand complex data flows (SQL/Data Lineage) to validate accounting and risk reporting requirements.
Audit Readiness: Experience working in regulated environments (Banking/Finance) and translating technical debt into risk language.
Language: Business fluent English is mandatory; German is considered a strong advantage.

What’s in it for you:

Work-Life-Balance: Flexible hours, work-from-home options from Austria, and 30 days/year remote work from any EU country.
Global community: 75+ nationalities, English as the company language, and work permit support. Our teams thrive on collaboration and mutual respect.
Career growth: We believe in continuous learning and proactive career development. Take on challenging work that stretches your abilities, attend trainings, and use new technologies to make a lasting impact.
Stay healthy: Subsidized canteen, well-being programs, check-ups, and sport allowances.
Save money: Discounts, exclusive banking terms, and a free public transport pass.
Family support: Child allowances, gender-neutral parental leave, bilingual company kindergarten, and holiday childcare.
Competitive salary: Starting at EUR 60.000, gross p.a. excluding overtime, with market-compliant overpayment based on experience and qualifications. We are happy to discuss your actual salary in person.
