Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Technical Illustrator to support our growing customer base. This a contractor (1099) client-facing role with an average of 20 hours of work each week, involving rotating assignments and supporting multiple clients and industries. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments and proactively applies their expertise to learn and adapt to evolving client needs. This can be an in-office, hybrid or a remote position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have: • A strong technical illustration background, developing a variety of graphic types to support operation, maintenance, repair, and user/installation manuals for a wide variety of industrial and consumer products. • Experience creating product illustrations, working with mechanical/engineering drawings and modifying existing graphics. • Considerable experience with tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. • Previous experience working with layout and graphic design is a plus. • Previous experience in animation is highly desired. Keyword: ISO Draw, CAD, Technical Illustration Required Experience: • U.S. Citizenship. • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related field. • 10+ years’ experience in Technical Illustration. • Experience developing a variety of illustrations for different types of documentation. • Ability to interpret product information and convey it within an illustration to provide clear and concise instruction for the end user. • 2+ years experience using the following applications: SolidWorks Composer, ISO Draw or CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional • Excellent interpersonal and general business communication skills. • Proven success working and prioritizing in an environment that is driven by budget, scope and deadlines across multiple clients/projects • Proven success interacting with multiple clients, subject matter experts and project managers. • Animation experience. • Experience working in a client-facing capacity. • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. • Organized and attention to detail.
