Specialty Bolt & Screw (SBS) is a growth-oriented distributor of engineered fasteners and hardware, seeking a Technical Engineering Specialist to collaborate with OEM customers. The role involves partnering with various departments to deliver technical solutions and support new part introductions, focusing on cost, quality, and manufacturability. Responsibilities Partner with OEM engineering, quality, and purchasing teams on new part introductions, print reviews, and ongoing technical collaboration focused on cost, quality, manufacturability, and application requirements Help build a menu of technical and commercial options—manufacturing methods, materials, finishes, and sourcing strategies—so customers can make informed decisions aligned with their objectives Lead structured problem-solving efforts (8D, CPAR, DMAIC), manage customer complaints, and review PPAP documentation in support of technical collaboration Skills Experience: Recent graduate to ~10 years Strong technical aptitude and ability to review prints and standards required Personable, collaborative, solution-oriented, entrepreneurial Engineering degree preferred but not required Experience working with data, reports, and modern business systems (including database and AI) is a plus Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Company Overview EXPERIENCE, SERVICE, AND INNOVATION Specialty Bolt & Screw, Inc is the industry leader in Supply Chain Focused Inventory Management Solutions : Since 1977, we have grown into an international company focused on the direct supply needs of global manufacturing.
