About the Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving technology solutions that align with Aetna Medicare's business strategies. You'll work closely with business partners and technical teams to gather requirements, define problems, and develop innovative solutions. Your expertise in business analysis, technical requirements gathering, and collaboration will be essential in delivering milestones that support organizational growth and product portfolio development.

Key Responsibilities


Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit business, functional, and non-functional requirements for specified applications.
Analyze the feasibility of new systems and enhancements to existing systems, developing requirements and recommending actionable next steps.
Create business requirement specifications to document functional and non-functional requirements, and design wireframes as needed to support development teams.
Perform data analysis for projects, tracking and documenting changes to business and functional specifications according to departmental change control processes.
Conduct business impact assessments and develop modification strategies using process improvement methodologies.
Establish effective working relationships with business partners to consolidate insights and design, build, and launch products that achieve market advantages.
Analyze reported defects and coordinate with QA and/or UAT teams to resolve issues.


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:


2-4 years or more of Business Analyst experience, with a proven track record of turning business requests into technical requirements.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong MS Office skills.
Experience scheduling and leading requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to drive insights and recommendations.
Adept at execution and delivery, with planning, delivering, and supporting skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a collaborative and teamwork-oriented approach.
A growth mindset, with agility and a commitment to developing yourself and others.
Self-driven, with the ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance.


Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:


Healthcare Insurance industry experience, preferably with Medicare knowledge.
Experience with creating wireframes and understanding of database technologies & query language, MS SQL.
Ability to read and understand existing code and stored procedures.


Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $54,300.00 - $119,340.00, with opportunities for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentives. We're committed to providing a competitive compensation package that reflects your experience, education, and geography.
