Technical Architect (Salesforce / Alibaba Cloud)
We are seeking a Technical Architect to define and govern the end-to-end architecture phase for a Salesforce migration to Alibaba Cloud. This role is critical in ensuring platform scalability, compliance with China-specific constraints, and successful deployment of Salesforce and Kaptio components within the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Define target architecture for Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud, including integrations and data flowsLead design of migration approach, including metadata, data, and integration layersArchitect deployment of Kaptio API and service layer within Alibaba Cloud infrastructureEnsure compatibility of Salesforce managed packages within the target environmentDefine integration patterns (event-driven, asynchronous) for cross-border and in-country systemsGovern technical design decisions and ensure alignment with performance and security requirementsCollaborate with client’s infrastructure and middleware teams related to Alibaba Cloud
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
8+ years of Salesforce architecture experience (Application or Technical Architect level)Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform (Apex, integrations, data model, security).Proven experience designing and delivering complex system integrationsExperience with large-scale data migration and platform transformationHands-on experience with Salesforce on Alibaba CloudFamiliarity with China-specific constraints (ICP, firewall, latency, banned services)Preferred ExperienceExperience working with complex managed packages and ISV architecturesExperience with high-volume transactional systems (e.g., booking, payments)Travel & Hospitality domain experience (booking, reservations, pricing, inventory)Skills & QualificationsFluent in Mandarin and English (strongly preferred)Strong system design and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to balance pragmatism with architectural rigorExperience with DevOps, CI/CD, and environment management strategies
