Technical Analyst - Insurance Claims Required

Overview

As Claims Technical Analyst in Individual Markets Claims, you will play a key role in supporting the Life Insurance claims processing, product and system configuration on Claims management platform and integration with systems like policy administration, databases etc. This role will offer a depth and breadth of knowledge of claims processing systems including integration points, data and reporting, and configuration management. The role will work closely with the claims Operations and Technical teams to identify and document requirements and design and develop solutions to support those requirements. The position may act independently and/or collaboratively with product management, product configurators, policy admin users, solution architects, development teams, DevOps engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to support the daily care and feeding of the applications and associated infrastructure, as well as respond to end user requests and break/fix items.

You are
• A self-starter, continuous learner and highly skilled technical professional who enjoys the art of problem solving, whether the root cause is application code, configuration, or infrastructure.
• Experienced with supporting claims applications, preferably FINEOS Claims platform or similar systems. and you confidently know your way around the latest Cloud infrastructure technologies.
• A collaborator who works well with others across teams as needed with a strong focus on good understanding of Life product rules and business processes.

You will
• Understand the Life Insurance products and specifications and relate that to the product configuration and Claims transaction processing.
• Work closely with the Business and IT team to provide guidance and support for development activities.
• Document business requirements for claims processing, product configuration, claims workflow and integration activities.
• Support claims data and Analytics teams by navigating complex data warehouse structures to create key reports and dashboards.
• Support business operations and Configuration teams with troubleshooting, research, and analysis of claims system functionality and suggest improvements
• Perform investigation and/or troubleshooting of Individual Life claims transaction issues, co-relate the issues to the product setup, process, or application/infrastructure to resolve issues and determine root cause.
• Support the business users / Claims processors for any claims processing issues.
• Evolve as a subject matter expert to lead specific projects or initiatives.
• Effectively and proactively manages customer expectations, raising issues and proposing unique technical solutions to solve business problems; work with Business to prioritize incidents, defects and minor enhancements.
• Continuously expand industry knowledge and be able to quickly identify and resolve technology problems.
• Support planning and project management activities as required.
• Strive for solutions that curtail repetitive issues and promote ease of supportability.

You have
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience and knowledge of Life claims processing and technology platforms.
• Experience in FINEOS Claims platform or similar technology
• 3+ years of experience as Life Claims Technical Analyst in Life Insurance industry.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated expertise with technical tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, SQL Querying tools, Oracle databases, REST and SOAP APIs
• The ability to work in an Agile environment and function with various business and IT stakeholders.
• Issue Management and Quality Assurance
• Good Communication skills

Location:
• Three days a week at a Guardian office in Bethlehem, PA or Holmdel, NJ.

Salary Range:

$77,570.00 - $127,430.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
