Role Description: As a Technical Analyst at Capco, you will play a key role in supporting IT projects within the Financial Services industry, with a focus on producing and reviewing technical documentation and ensuring alignment between development and functional requirements . With a background in software development, you will bring your hands-on experience in COBOL , Java , and SQL to assess the feasibility and completeness of proposed solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support the overall quality and maintainability of deliverables. We are open to both full-time and freelance collaborations. As part of the consulting team, the Technical Analyst will: Draft, review, and maintain technical documentation , including specifications, architecture diagrams, and integration documents. Conduct technical reviews of deliverables to ensure compliance with requirements and standards. Collaborate with developers, functional analysts, and architects to clarify technical approaches and ensure traceability of requirements. Identify and communicate risks or inconsistencies in technical implementations. Support development and testing phases with technical insight and troubleshooting when required. Skills and Experience To qualify for the role you must have: At least 2 years’ experience as a Technical Analyst or similar role in IT projects (preferably in Financial Services). Solid hands-on experience with COBOL , Java and SQL . Proven ability to read, write, and understand complex technical documentation. Experience collaborating with both technical and functional teams in structured project environments. Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes and tools. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have: Experience working in Agile or hybrid project methodologies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA). Why join Capco?
