Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Rushville, NY. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their educational and personal needs, working closely with certified teachers and other school staff. Key Responsibilities:


Provide direct instructional support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher
Assist with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Maintain accurate records of student progress and strategies
Reinforce new and existing skills and concepts
Prepare classroom materials and assist with instructional tasks
Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents
Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, recess, and lunch
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administrator


Requirements:


Credentials per district policy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities
Professional appearance and demeanor
Physical ability to stand, walk, and negotiate steps/stairs
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
