About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Grader for our online Biomedical Engineering Innovation (BMEI) course. As a TA/Grader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the instructor and assisting high school students in exploring the exciting field of biomedical engineering. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in online education, develop your communication and leadership skills, and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Responsibilities:


Provide support to the instructor in delivering the online BMEI course
Monitor discussion boards, respond to student emails, and provide feedback on assignments
Grade assignments and provide detailed feedback to students
Participate in one-on-one design reviews with students
Develop a sense of community among students and facilitate online study sessions
Ensure that child safety protocols are upheld


Requirements:


Have completed the first year of an engineering degree
Demonstrate knowledge of the content covered in BMEI
Willingness to learn Microsoft Teams, Canvas, and Zoom
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications:


Completion of EN.580.111 Biomedical Engineering and Design
